About
I’m Chris King, the photographer behind cks MEDIA, based in Melbourne.
For me, photography started with a simple idea: I wanted to take the kind of photos I’d actually stop and look at.
Cars have always been a massive part of that. Whether I’m trackside at a motorsport event, shooting a modified car, catching a rolling shot or getting right into the small details, I’m looking for the angles and moments that make the car stand out. Not just another photo for the camera roll, but something you’re genuinely keen to post, print or look back on.
But cks MEDIA isn’t limited to cars. I shoot motorsport, aviation, events, people and anything else that gives me the chance to capture something worth remembering. I’m always looking to try something different, improve my work and push what I can create behind the camera.
I’m not interested in making every shoot look the same. The car, person or event in front of me should decide how the photos feel. I shoot it my way, edit every image myself and put my own style into the final result.

The prices on this page are starting points, in AUD, and every shoot includes fully edited photos. Events, builds and team jobs are quoted, so send me the details and I’ll come back with a number.
How do I book?
Send an enquiry with what you want shot, roughly when and where. I’ll reply with my availability and a quote.
How long until I get my photos?
It depends on the shoot, so I’ll give you a date when I send your quote. A big event takes longer than a one-hour session.
Where do you shoot?
I’m based in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs and shoot car, motorsport and portrait jobs across Melbourne. For events and bigger jobs I can travel, so put the location in your enquiry and I’ll include it in the quote.
Can I post and print the photos?
Yes, for personal use. If you’re using them for a business, a sponsor or advertising, tell me when you enquire and we’ll sort it out.
